Doha: Qatar Tourism has launched a guide called “Qatar Now”, which is a comprehensive guide to Qatar as a destination. Available free of charge at traveler touchpoints across the country, it will be released on a semi-annual basis and will be available at hotels, Hamad International Airport (HIA), museums and other visitor venues, as well as embassies. The guide features a mix of descriptive and challenging content. With a range of activities and itineraries for every type of traveler, the guide brings Qatar’s offerings to life. The publication curates content in arts and culture, restaurants, architecture and design, fashion and retail, and sports and adventure.
Qatar Tourism Chairman and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, HE Akbar Al Baker said: “As we prepare to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we are very pleased to launch the ‘Qatar Now” to underline the richness of the destination and the extent of our offers. Travelers visiting the highly anticipated event or those passing through our award-winning hub, Hamad International Airport, can now experience our vibrant city through the inspirational pages.
It features a section titled “Qatar Then, Now and Future,” which offers an authentic local perspective through a photojournalistic essay, exploring different topics through the eyes of a Qatari photographer.
The guide also offers information on the country’s artistic, culinary, sporting and commercial offer, as well as information on events, festivals and adventure-filled events. The English version of the first edition of the “Qatar Now” guide is available at visitor contact points and can be downloaded from the website https://www.visitqatar.qa/qatarnow. The Arabic version of the guide will be available in April.
