KUALA LUMPUR, February 16 – The official website and guide for the National Immunization Program (NIP) was launched today by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The launch precedes the arrival of the first Covid-19 vaccines in the country on February 21 and its deployment on February 26.

“The website is at where the PIN guide can be downloaded,” Muhyiddin said on a live TV broadcast of the launch.

“Once everyone has been protected and the NIP programs are successfully implemented, will we begin to feel its positive impact, God willing.”

The website reports to the Special Committee to Guarantee Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supplies (JKJAV), which is jointly headed by Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Khairy Jamaluddin and Minister of Health Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

A visit to the website showed videos with messages of encouragement from retired bowler Shalin Zulkifli and national swimming champion Welson Sim on the virtues of the vaccine.

The guide is 26 pages long and contains information such as when the vaccines are rolled out, their impact, the different types of vaccines, and how the public can register to get vaccinated.
