LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Louisiana Republican Congressman Clay Higgins drew criticism on Sunday after his tweet, where he apparently attacked young people, went viral.

“We don’t know exactly what this tweet is supposed to mean, and we are literally the dictionary,” leaving Twitter users to then troll the congressman.

“The United States went through some pretty serious cultural and political turmoil during the Cold War and we survived the USSR. Perhaps you should appreciate that we are strong as a democracy with a wide range of opinions instead of complaining about people expressing those opinions, Twitter user Pe wrote.

“When the President of the United States is weak, the whole world suffers,” he said.
